Challenge: The Sports Authority of Thailand commissioned us to create a comprehensive promotional campaign to generate awareness and excitement about Thailand’s hosting of MOTO GP. The objectives were to enhance Thailand’s image as a premier destination for world-class sporting events, attract international tourists, and stimulate the economy through sports tourism.
Our Approach: We developed a holistic promotional campaign that encompassed multiple dimensions:
- Global Media Strategy: Established partnerships with international motorsport media and leading digital platforms to create widespread awareness
- Experiential Marketing: Organized roadshow events in key cities worldwide featuring legendary riders and motorsport celebrities to generate excitement
- Proactive Social Media Campaign: Developed highly engaging content across major social media platforms with dedicated hashtags that went viral
- Local Community Engagement: Created involvement programs linking local businesses and communities with the event to foster a sense of collective ownership
- Thai Cultural Content Creation: Produced media that blended the speed and excitement of MOTO GP with Thailand’s unique cultural identity
Results: The project exceeded all expectations:
- 3,247 global media placements covering Thailand’s MOTO GP event
- Over 890 million social media impressions from content related to the competition
- 226,000 motorsport fans attended throughout the event week
- Economic stimulus worth over 3 billion baht in the event area and neighboring provinces
- Increased international recognition of Thailand as a destination for world-class motorsport events
The Thailand MOTO GP promotional campaign elevated the country’s image as a leader in hosting world-class sporting events, created positive impacts on the tourism economy, and established a foundation for future success in hosting international events.
