Challenge: The Department of International Trade Promotion commissioned our company to implement the ELMA Excellence in Logistics Management Award project, which recognizes outstanding transportation and logistics service providers in Thailand. The project aimed to promote service standard development, honor operators demonstrating excellence, and inspire other entrepreneurs to improve their services following industry leaders’ examples.
Our Company’s Approach: Our company developed a comprehensive process covering both standards elevation and award selection:
- Standardized Selection Criteria Development: Created assessment criteria covering all dimensions of logistics service provision, including efficiency, innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility
- Promotion and Application Process: Conducted extensive promotional campaigns to invite entrepreneurs to participate in the competition, along with regional project introduction events
- Assessment and Selection: Established a committee of experts from various sectors to evaluate and select finalists and winners in each award category
- Award Ceremony: Designed and executed an elegant award ceremony befitting the honor of the award recipients
- Post-Award Promotion: Disseminated success stories of award recipients through various media to serve as examples for the industry
Results: The project achieved excellent success:
- 97 logistics operators applied to participate in the award selection
- 32 companies were selected to receive ELMA awards in various categories
- The award ceremony was honored by the Minister of Commerce as chairman, with over 300 representatives from public and private sectors in attendance
- 45 media outlets showed interest in and reported on the event
- Award recipients gained significant business opportunities and increased client confidence
The ELMA Excellence in Logistics Management Award 2021 Project has created momentum for service standard development throughout Thailand’s logistics industry, honored industry leaders demonstrating excellence, and enhanced Thailand’s image as a quality logistics hub in the region.
